The Ornithomimus was discovered in the late Cretaceous Period near Denver, Colorado, and given its name meaning, "bird mimic". The Ornithomimus resembled a present-day ostrich with a toothless beak, long neck, small head, big eyes, and long legs. It was around 12 feet long, and 6 feet tall. It probably weighed about 300 pounds. The Ornithomimus was likely a pretty fast runner. It was likely an omnivore.
