They are harder to open than the quartz geodes. A lot of people like to cut them open with a wet saw. They look good polished or sprayed with a clear coat paint after cutting. But you can break them open with a hammer after a few good hits.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMoroccan quartz geodes produce a great looking geode when cracked open. Opening them is easy. They are more hollow than other geodes and therefor break open easier. They also tend to produce more crystals.
