This carnivorous dinosaur is named the Velociraptor, translating to swift robber. The Velocipartor gained popularity through its features in the Jurassic Park Movies. Scientists believe the movie does not accurately portray Velociraptors, but they are actually based on Deinonychus. Velociraptors in real life are about the size of a turkey, and had feathers. Velociraptors stood at about 3 feet tall, and weighed around 30 pounds. VElocipartors were expected to be capable of running a maximum of 40 mph. It hunted for small animals, reptiles, insects, and smaller dinosaurs.
